Trutnov Battlefield, Czech Republic – July 1, 2026
One day, a relentless lineup, and a single mission: absolute sonic devastation. The first day of Obscene Extreme Festival 2026 delivered exactly what fans came for, unfiltered extremity, chaotic pits, and that unmistakable DIY spirit that defines this legendary gathering. From the earliest grind assaults to the genre-defying headliners, Wednesday set the tone for a week of pure madness at the Trutnov Battlefield.
‘Lilixelbe‘ opened proceedings with a short but surprisingly effective set that wasted no time pulling early arrivals into the festival’s chaotic rhythm. For a band kicking things off at the very start of the day, they brought an energy that felt anything but tentative, setting the right tone for everything that followed.

‘AXCXMXE‘ followed with a raw and uncompromising burst of grindcore aggression that left absolutely no room for adjustment. The Colombian act delivered no-frills intensity from the first second, immediately triggering the first proper pits of the day and making it clear that Obscene Extreme was not going to ease anyone in gently.
‘Choof‘ kept the momentum surging with a frantic and relentless set that refused to let the crowd catch their breath. The Australian act moved fast and hit hard, sustaining the chaotic energy that AXCXMXE had ignited and pushing the early afternoon crowd into a near-constant state of motion.
‘Paediatrician‘ brought a crushing dose of goregrind that combined absurdity and brutality in equal measure, earning both laughs and violent reactions from the audience in roughly the same breath. There is something uniquely Obscene Extreme about a band that can make you grin and wince simultaneously, and Paediatrician delivered exactly that.
‘Taedifer‘ added a darker and more oppressive edge to the proceedings, leaning into a heavier, more suffocating sound that contrasted nicely with the earlier chaos while maintaining the intensity that the crowd had come to expect. A well-timed shift in atmosphere that only made the brutality hit harder.
‘Guttural Disgorge‘ lived up to their name in every possible sense, delivering a relentless wall of guttural vocals and slamming riffs that pushed the afternoon’s brutality to new extremes. The Danish act commanded the stage with the kind of unapologetic heaviness that this festival was built to celebrate, and the crowd responded accordingly.

‘Heavy Kevy‘ injected a welcome dose of humor and crossover energy into the mix, offering a refreshing shift in tone without ever losing the pit. The Austrian act proved that extremity does not always have to be deadly serious, and the crowd embraced every second of it with equal parts moshing and laughter.
‘Bad Acid Trip‘ delivered one of the most unpredictable sets of the afternoon, blending chaos and groove in a way that kept everyone genuinely guessing from one moment to the next. The American act thrived on the unexpected, and in a festival that celebrates the unconventional, they felt right at home.
‘Purulent‘ returned things to pure filth with a set drenched in old-school gore aesthetics and relentless blast beats that hit with the force of a sledgehammer. The Colombian veterans know exactly what they are doing and exactly who they are playing for, and the Obscene Extreme faithful gave them everything back in return.

‘Oxidised Razor‘ brought surgical precision to the stage, unleashing a tight and ferociously well-executed performance that stood out for its sharp and focused delivery. In a lineup full of controlled chaos, the Mexican act distinguished themselves through sheer technical aggression, leaving a strong impression on an already battered crowd.
‘Masacre‘ raised the stakes considerably with a powerful and commanding show that reaffirmed why they remain one of the most respected forces in South American extreme metal. The Colombian legends carried genuine weight on that stage, and the audience felt every bit of it, responding with the kind of intensity that only comes when a band truly earns it.

‘Dwarves‘ arrived and immediately made the afternoon their own, with punk-infused chaos and a provocative stage presence that created one of the most entertaining and unpredictable moments of the entire day. The American veterans played by their own rules as always, and the result was exactly the kind of joyful, anarchic disruption that Obscene Extreme thrives on.
‘Eyehategod‘ slowed everything down with their signature sludge, dragging the audience deep into a heavy and oppressive groove that felt like being pulled underwater in slow motion. The New Orleans legends commanded a different kind of attention from the crowd, one built on weight and atmosphere rather than speed, and it was every bit as devastating as anything that came before them.

‘The Accüsed AD‘ delivered crossover thrash with genuine attitude and conviction, igniting circle pits and bringing a classic energy that resonated strongly across the crowd. The American act connected the festival’s punk roots with its metal heart in a way that felt natural and urgent, and the audience responded with the kind of enthusiasm that those songs have always deserved.

‘Converge‘ elevated the night to a different level entirely, delivering an intense and emotionally charged performance that blended chaos and precision in a way that only they can. The Massachusetts legends moved through their set with the kind of controlled fury that has defined their career for decades, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present and reminding the crowd why they are one of the most important bands in extreme music.
‘Hideous Divinity‘ closed out the night with a devastating and technically ferocious set of death metal that brought the curtain down on day one in the most emphatic way possible. The Italian act left nothing on the table, ending the day on a brutally high note and reminding everyone in attendance that Obscene Extreme never holds back, not even at the very end of a relentless twelve-hour marathon.

Day one made it clear: Obscene Extreme is not just a festival, it is an experience. A place where extremity thrives, boundaries dissolve, and the underground spirit remains stronger than ever. And this was only the beginning.
