Death metal legends gear up for extensive European run following North American tour with Behemoth
Death metal legends ‘Deicide‘ are gearing up to unleash their unapologetic brutality across festival stages throughout Europe this summer. The band is currently on tour around North America supporting ‘Behemoth‘, with ‘Rotting Christ‘ and ‘Immolation‘.
Since their inception in 1987, ‘Deicide’ has left a ferocious mark on the genre with no intentions of slowing down. In over three decades the band has released thirteen studio albums, their latest being 2024’s “Banished By Sin,” released via Reigning Phoenix Music, an album ingrained with thunderous aggression and power.

The legendary death metal band was formed in Tampa, Florida, in 1987 by current and surviving members, drummer and composer Steve Asheim, and bassist, vocalist and lyricist Glen Benton. The band rose to mainstream success in 1992 with their second album “Legion,” and is credited as the second-best-selling death metal band of the Soundscan Era.
Since their debut album in 1990, ‘Deicide’ has released twelve studio albums, one live album, two compilation albums and two live DVDs. In November 2003, their first two albums, “Deicide” and “Legion,” were ranked second and third place respectively in best-selling death metal albums of the SoundScan era.
‘Deicide’ is known for being uncompromising and crafting some of the best, most punishing death metal music in their three decade-plus of existence. “Banished By Sin” delivered an intense, brutal and savagely catchy slab of Florida death metal that continues the band’s legacy of unrelenting sonic assault.
