‘Powerwolf’ Release Live Version of “1589” from Upcoming Live Album Wildlive

Heavy metal giants ‘Powerwolf‘ have unleashed the fourth single from their monumental upcoming live album, Wildlive (Live at Olympiahalle), arriving February 13, 2026 via Napalm Records. “1589”, originally featured on their #1 album Wake Up The Wicked (2024), comes alive through blazing stage production and spectacular pyrotechnics that transform the concert experience into something beyond music – into ritual.

Filmed during their sold-out show at Munich’s Olympiahalle as part of the stunning Wolfsnächte Tour in 2024, the live video captures ‘Powerwolf’ at their theatrical peak. This isn’t just a performance. It’s heavy metal theater at its finest, complete with fire-breathing church organs, thunderous pyro spectacles, and dark operetta-like storytelling that proves why the band has become an unmatched force in the genre.

“We always knew that no words or short recap videos could truly capture what we experienced together during the Wolfsnächte 2024 tour. Every night was its own kind of magic – still, we wanted to find a way to hold on to those memories and share them in the most powerful way possible, That’s why we decided to record the full, massive, sold-out show at the Olympiahalle in Munich – to preserve just a piece of what we all felt on this tour. Wildlive (Live at Olympiahalle) is more than a live release. It’s a tribute and manifestation to the moments we created together.”

What began as an unconventional project in 2004 has evolved into one of metal’s most successful worldwide phenomena. Wildlive (Live at Olympiahalle) documents ‘Powerwolf”s unrelenting rise, showcasing a performance that goes far beyond standard concert fare. Each song receives visual reimagination through changing digital stage sets, timed effects, and theatrical elements: monks bearing torches, falling snow on burning pianos, and fiery execution scenes that rival shock rock’s greatest icons.

Classics like “Army Of The Night”, “Amen & Attack”, “Armata Strigoi”, and “Demons Are a Girl’s Best Friend” explode in larger-than-life arrangements, while emotional highlights like “Alive or Undead” move audiences to tears. The interplay between frontman Attila Dorn and organist Falk Maria Schlegel transforms every moment into unforgettable ceremony.

‘Powerwolf’ have long transcended genre boundaries. Their shows function as cult-like celebrations of metal, emotion, and art. Wildlive (Live at Olympiahalle) serves as both celebration of past triumphs and the beginning of a powerful new chapter in the band’s unstoppable journey. What they create isn’t simply music – it’s religion.

The wolves aren’t slowing down. Following their Summer Of The Wicked tour through Europe and triumphant return to the USA and Canada, ‘Powerwolf’ prepare to conquer Europe once more with their Wake Up The Wicked Tour, featuring very special guests ‘HammerFall‘ and ‘Wind Rose‘. The tour includes their first show at London’s legendary OVO Arena Wembley – a night destined for metal history. The band will also headline the monumental Wacken Open Air next summer alongside appearances at major festivals across Europe.
