Verona-based band blends hard rock, funk, and punk attitude on genre-defying second record via Go Down Records
Verona-based action rock trio To The Max! are set to release their sophomore studio album “Two The Max!” on March 13 via Go Down Records. The record promises to be a thrilling 40-minute journey through ten dynamic tracks that push the boundaries of what rock and roll can be, seamlessly blending gritty hard rock riffs, infectious funk grooves, and raw punk attitude into a powerful and distinctive sound.
“Two The Max!” is described as more than just an album. It is a high-octane celebration of genre-bending creativity and rock passion that demands to be played loud. Each song pulses with vibrant energy and dark tonal layers, delivering an unforgettable mix that keeps listeners on their toes. Remarkably, the band maintains coherence throughout while avoiding repetition, a balance that many bands struggle to achieve but that To The Max! pull off with clarity and confidence.

Three Musicians, One Vision
To The Max! brings together three musicians with different backgrounds but a shared purpose: to create a personal and recognizable sound free from external constraints. Alessandro Marchi handles drums and vocals, Nicola Marchi takes on guitar and vocals, and Mattia Fraccaroli rounds out the trio on bass and backing vocals. The three musicians grew up in previous projects spanning genres as diverse as thrash metal, black metal, and sleaze rock, a wide-ranging experience that informs the eclectic yet cohesive nature of their sound.
The band came together in mid-2020 during the global lockdown, when the three united in a rehearsal room with a singular goal: to write and play music guided solely by their own vision. That spirit of creative freedom and self-determination has been the driving force behind everything they have done since. Their intention from the outset was to compose heavy rock tracks that explore different moods and influences while maintaining a consistent and identifiable sound.

From Demo to the Stage
The trio wasted no time putting their new music to the test. In 2021, after less than a year of rehearsals and armed with a home-recorded five-track demo, To The Max! began performing in pubs, live clubs, and festivals. Their energy and conviction quickly earned them a reputation as a powerful live act, and they embarked on several Italian and European mini-tours that took them to venues including Bloom in Mezzago, Italy, Le Brin De Zinc in Barberaz, France, Sala Barracudas in Madrid, and G5 in Vienna.
The festival circuit also proved fertile ground for the band. Among the highlights were appearances at Rock Camp in Trieste, Metal Machine in Reggio Emilia, and Rock The Station in Austria, where they shared stages with both local and international acts and continued to build their reputation beyond Italian borders.
In 2022, the band recorded their debut album “Midnight Tea,” which was self-released on CD and digitally in 2024. The record established their sound and demonstrated their ability to translate their live energy into a studio setting.

The Road to ‘Two The Max!’
With “Two The Max!,” To The Max! take everything they learned from their debut and push it further. Songwriting has remained a constant driving force for the band throughout their career, and the new material reflects the growth and evolution of three musicians who have spent years refining their craft both in the rehearsal room and on the road.
The album will be released via Go Down Records on vinyl and digital platforms, giving fans multiple ways to experience what promises to be one of the most energetic and genre-defying rock records of early 2026. For a band that formed during a global lockdown with nothing but a rehearsal space and a shared vision, reaching this point represents a remarkable journey, and judging by the ambition behind “Two The Max!,” it feels like the beginning rather than the destination.
