Former Devourment Vocalist Mike Majewski Arrested for Fatal DUI Crash

Ex-death metal frontman faces intoxication manslaughter charges following wrong-way collision that killed one, injured five

Mike Majewski, former vocalist for death metal band ‘Devourment‘ and current frontman of ‘Truth Devoid’, has been arrested for his involvement in a fatal 2025 car crash that occurred while driving under the influence.

According to reports from NBCDFW and the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred on May 12, 2025, around 1:30 a.m. on Dallas’ North Tollway near Royal Lane. Majewski, 50, was driving northbound in the southbound lanes when his vehicle sideswiped an 18-wheeler before colliding head-on with another passenger vehicle. Both cars burst into flames following the impact.

The passenger in the vehicle Majewski struck, a 28-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene. Majewski and four others were transported to the hospital with serious to critical injuries. The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured.

On Thursday, January 29, 2026, after being released from the hospital, Majewski was arrested and charged with four counts of intoxication assault with vehicle (severe bodily injury) and one count of intoxicated manslaughter with vehicle. He is currently being held at the Collin County Jail on $175,000 bond as he awaits trial.

The Collin County Inmates Facebook page posted screenshots of Majewski’s inmate profile confirming his arrest.
