Swedish extreme metal powerhouse announce intimate European club tour as new era begins with ex-Once Human frontwoman
Swedish extreme metal powerhouse Arch Enemy have ended months of intense speculation by revealing Lauren Hart, former vocalist of Once Human, as their new singer. The announcement arrives alongside “To The Last Breath,” a ferocious new single and official music video that marks the first Arch Enemy song to feature Hart’s vocals and signals the beginning of a bold new chapter for the band.
The revelation comes after Arch Enemy and former manager Angela Gossow sparked a frenzy of speculation with cryptic teaser videos captioned simply “2026,” leading many fans to believe Gossow herself might be returning to the microphone. Gossow quickly shut down those rumors, stating “It’s not ME! But thank you for all the love! I am really excited to be involved in this new chapter as the manager. This is gonna CRUSH!”
While fans and media alike rapidly speculated about who might step into the role behind the microphone, the band remained tight-lipped as anticipation built to a feverous pitch across the metal community. Now, Arch Enemy are back in full force, presenting both their new vocalist and their ferocious new anthem.

Michael Amott, guitarist and founder of Arch Enemy, expressed his enthusiasm about the new partnership: “Connecting with Lauren has marked an important step in my journey. Working with her was an exceptional experience, her remarkable voice, coupled with her dedication and professionalism, brings a rare level of excellence. I look forward to continuing the collaboration.”
Speaking about the new single, Amott pulled no punches: “Make no mistake, this song is a reckoning. Musically, it’s unapologetically aligned with my original vision for the band, and I believe longtime fans will recognize that immediately. Lyrically, it’s about seeing through deception and dismantling the illusion of control. It captures that moment when you realize you’ve been fed poison, and you choose to fight back. Once that clarity hits, there’s no retreat. It’s do or die.”
With unwavering confidence, Amott asserted: “Just when you think it’s over, a new beginning rises. Now it’s time to rage with us, to the very last fucking breath!”
“To The Last Breath” arrives as the first new musical piece following the band’s latest album cycle with “Blood Dynasty” and serves as a testament to Arch Enemy’s legacy while stepping boldly toward a new and exciting era. The single comes not only with powerful music but represents the culmination of what appears to be a carefully orchestrated transition designed to maintain the band’s momentum while introducing Hart to the Arch Enemy faithful.
To celebrate this new chapter and present their unparalleled and raw band dynamic, Arch Enemy have announced an intimate European club show run dubbed “Back to the Root of All Evil” for summer 2026. The tour will hit the following dates:

The intimate club settings represent a deliberate choice, allowing fans to experience the new lineup in venues far smaller than the arenas and festivals Arch Enemy typically command. It’s a move that suggests confidence in the chemistry between Hart and her new bandmates, offering dedicated fans an up-close opportunity to witness the beginning of this new era.
Hart joins a lineup that includes founding guitarist Michael Amott, guitarist Joey Concepcion, bassist Sharlee D’Angelo, and drummer Daniel Erlandsson. She becomes the third vocalist in Arch Enemy’s 30-year history, following Johan Liiva, who fronted the band from 1996 to 2000, and Angela Gossow, who defined the band’s sound from 2001 to 2014. Most recently, Alissa White-Gluz led the band through their most commercially successful period from 2014 to 2025, appearing on four studio albums including “War Eternal” (2014), “Will to Power” (2017), “Deceivers” (2022), and “Blood Dynasty” (2025).
White-Gluz announced her exit from the band in late 2025 with a statement hinting at new projects: “After 12 years in Arch Enemy, we have parted ways. I am forever thankful to the thousands of amazing fans I have met along the way. Thank you, Beastlings! I can’t wait to share what I have been working on with you all (some big surprises in store). Stay tuned for big news in 2026 and see you very soon.”
With Lauren Hart now stepping into that role, Arch Enemy move forward into what Amott clearly believes is a return to the band’s foundational sound and vision. Whether longtime fans agree will likely be determined in those intimate European clubs this summer, where there will be nowhere to hide and everything to prove.
